A moderation diet is one that allows for freedom of indulgent but in order for it to be successful it requires some dedication and discipline 80-85% of the time. It is usually conceptualized as eating what you’d like when you’d like it but requires a little more thought and effort than being that simple.
It is best to create a mindset that every time you eat you have the opportunity to choose the best foods in order to nourish your body. Thinking this way will allow you to listen to your body and indulge if it is craving something like chocolate or pizza. But it doesn’t mean that the whole day after this needs to be indulgent, it allows you to then make healthier choices at your next eating stage. This way you will be able to create a balance of energy intake over the whole day. If your goal is then to loose weight you should aim to create a lower energy intake by filling meals with green leafy foods or veggies, choosing lean proteins like fish, chicken or beans and portion controlling your starches
