Tamsyn Matheson 

At age 10 I became an emotional eater and found comfort in food. At age 16 I was tired of feeling insecure in my body, being teased for being overweight and seeking comfort in food. I decided I needed to change my ways in order to live a more confident and fulfilling life. 

The first thing I did was find a passion for being more active. It started off slowly with daily 30 minute walks with my dog and increased to playing school sport. During this time I also started trying out a range of diets. My sole focus here was to loose weight, and if I lost the weight I would be happy right? Wrong!!  

So after completing high school with a little bit of weight off and still not very confident or happy I went off to university seeking more answers for this journey to happiness. After completing a Bsc in Sports Science and a MscHons in Dietetics I found the answer. 

That is that the lifestyle you require is so much more than the physical act of exercise or eating healthier. It's about healing your thoughts and mind, healing those wounds that caused you to eat in the first place. 

So this blog is here to give you advice from my lifestyle change experience and to help you change the area you need to be the healthiest you.
